PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amorphous biocompatible material applied to a housing structure for an implantable medical device and related processing techniques thereof. A housing 302 for an implantable cardiac stimulation device or an implantable nerve stimulation device comprises a bulk metallic glass alloy. The bulk metallic glass alloy may be at least an alloy of zirconium, titanium, copper, nickel, and aluminum. In addition, the housing 302 may be configured to accommodate one or more components of an implantable pacemaker. Further, the housing 302 may be configured to accommodate one or more components of an implantable defibrillator.
