PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for locally administering an ophthalmic composition in the form of drops, preferably a method for locally administering an ophthalmic composition containing a semi-fluorinated alkane (SFA). SOLUTION: The droplet dispenser includes a container portion and a dropping portion, and the container portion is partially filled with the liquid composition 2 and the gas phase 3 which fill the remaining portion of the internal volume with ambient pressure. It has an internal volume, and the container portion has a displaceable portion and, if necessary, a substantially fixed portion. The dropping portion includes an outflow channel 5 that connects the internal volume of the container portion to the environment, and is physically connected to the internal volume of the container portion and communicates with the fluid.
