The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition containing 3,4-di-cafeoylquinic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. 3,4-di-cafeoylquinic acid according to the present invention by inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, can be usefully used as an active ingredient of the antimicrobial composition.본 발명은 3,4-디-카페오일퀴닉산 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용가능한 염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 항균용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 3,4-디-카페오일퀴닉산은 대장균, 황색포도상구균 및 녹농균의 성장을 저해함으로써, 항균용 조성물의 유효성분으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
