The present invention relates to an upside-down plant cultivation system installed on a ceiling and, more specifically, to a system capable of monitoring a plant and enabling automatic cultivation of the plant using a smart means, configured to provide the plant in an upside-down position, and can be combined with a lighting device which is required for a daily life. The system comprises: a cultivation unit fixed to the ceiling and in which a plant is disposed； and a supply unit configured to supply a nutrient solution to the plant. The cultivation unit comprises: a plurality of unit modules configured to support the plant to enable the plant to grow while roots of the plant face up and leaves of the plant face down and formed as a modulated cell unit to be installed and replaced； light source equipment configured to supply light energy to the plant to promote cultivation of the plant and provide lighting required for a daily life.
