A method for isolating the stem cells comprises: a step of preparing cambium-containing tissue from Ginkgoaceae； a step of culturing the tissue in a medium； and a step of isolating cells from the cambium using distilled water, alcohol, acetone, DMSO(dimethyl sulfoxide) or mixture solvent thereof. A cosmetic composition for anti-aging or whitening contains the stem cells, or extract, pulverized material, or culture thereof.본 발명은 은행나무과의 형성층 유래 줄기세포, 그 추출물, 그 파쇄물 및 그 배양물 중 어느 하나 이상을 함유하는 항산화 또는 항노화용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물은 주름개선효과가 강한 것으로 알려진 레티노인산에 보다도 우수한 효율로 노화 진행과 관련된 효소의 생성을 억제시키며, UV 조사에 의하여 증가되는 활성산소를 억제하는 효과가 있으므로, 노화의 방지 및 지연에 유용하다. 아울러, 멜라닌 형성 억제효과를 가지는바, 미백용 화장용 조성물로서도 유용하다.
