PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information acquisition device and a biological information acquisition method capable of accurately acquiring information on a living body.SOLUTION: In a biological information acquisition device 10, a storage part 400 stores light emission integrated frequency or light emission integrated time of a light emitting element 53 a control part 300 causes the light emission frequency or the light emission time for the light emitting element 53 to emit light for acquiring one time light reception result to be larger than set light emission frequency or set light emission time when the light emission integrated frequency is larger than predetermined light emission frequency or the light emission integrated time is longer than predetermined light emission time, and causes the light emitting element 53 to emit light to a living body and a light reception part S receives the light that is emitted to the living body and transmits the living body.
