PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus, capable of obtaining a smooth diagnostic image suitable for observation with a high frame rate in screening diagnosis and capable of obtaining a high-precision diagnostic image in detailed diagnosis by switching a plurality of kinds of illumination without forcing a subject to bear the burden by a simple constitution.SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus includes: an emission wavelength switching means for switching emission wavelengths of a first illumination light including broadband light and a second illumination light including only narrowband light an imaging means for capturing an image of a subject by the first illumination light or the second illumination light having the switched emission wavelength in each imaging frame a biological information acquisition means for acquiring biological information relating to form and/or function of a biological body serving as the subject and a mode switching means for switching at least two diagnosis modes corresponding to the kind of the biological information.
