A method of planning and preparing for a surgical procedure can comprise: generating a three-dimensional bone model for one or more bones； sizing the one or more bones based on the three-dimensional model； recording a surgical plan based on the three-dimensional bone model； selecting a first surgical tool for the one or more bone based on the surgical plan； and evaluating selection of a second surgical tool based on a performance parameter of the first surgical tool.
