PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle-like body which is easy to handle, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A needle-like body 1 is constituted of a thermoplastic resin and includes: a plurality of needle-like parts 12 and a base plate part having a needle-like part forming surface 111 in which the needle-like parts are formed and a needle-like part non-forming part 112 in which a step structure part 1121 is formed on the opposite side of the needle-like part forming surface. The needle-like body can be held by a separation unit by using the step structure part formed on the base plate part. Therefore, the needle-like body can be easily separated from a duplicate plate by using the separation unit in a mold release process. Further, the needle-like body can be easily transported by using the separation unit after the mold release process.
