PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safer antibacterial medical device capable of continuously exhibiting an antibacterial effect by using water as a solvent and containing only the antibacterial agent and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A catheter 10 is obtained having antibacterial capability is obtained in such a way that a base material 11 made of polyurethane is immersed in a minocycline hydrochloride solution prepared by dissolving minocycline hydrochloride 12 in water and heating the obtained solution at ≥70°C to contain the minocycline hydrochloride 12 in the base material 11, which is then dried to remove the water.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 溶媒として水を用いて、抗菌剤だけを含ませることにより、抗菌効果を継続的に発揮できるとともに、より安全な抗菌性医療用具およびその製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 塩酸ミノサイクリン12を水に溶解して70℃以上に加熱した塩酸ミノサイクリン水溶液に、ポリウレタンからなる基材11を浸漬して基材11に塩酸ミノサイクリン12を包含させたのちに乾燥して水分を除去することにより抗菌性を備えたカテーテル10を得た。【選択図】 図1
