PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase convenience in diagnosis or treatment to be performed by attaching a sensor for detecting a position and a direction to an ultrasonic probe.SOLUTION: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment is provided with a probe switch part, and a sensor selection part. The probe switch part switches ultrasonic probes to be used for ultrasound transmission among a plurality of ultrasonic probes respectively provided with sensors for detecting a physical quantity representing a position and a direction in a prescribed space.
