The present invention relates to a composition for preventing and alleviating hyperlipidemia, containing a mixed extract of Momordica charantia, Corni fructus, Schizandra chinensis Baillon, and Zizyphus jujuba. More particularly, the present invention relates to pharmaceutical and food compositions for preventing and alleviating hyperlipidemia while decreasing total cholesterol and triglyceride and increasing HDL-cholesterol obtained by mixing 70 to 90 wt% of a Momordica charantia extract which is extracted by adding, to Momordica charantia, at least one extraction solvent selected from water, lower alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, polyhydric alcohol (any one of butylene glycol, propylene glycol, and pentylene glycol), or a mixture thereof； 5 to 15 wt% of a Corni fructus extract； 4 to 10 wt% of a Schizandra chinensis Baillon extract； and 1 to 15 wt% of a Zizyphus jujuba extract.본 발명은 여주, 산수유, 오미자 및 대추의 혼합 추출물을 함유한 고지혈증 예방 및 개선용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 물, 탄소수 1 내지 4의 저급 알코올, 다가 알코올(부틸렌글리콜, 프로필렌글리콜, 펜틸렌글리콜 중 어느 하나) 또는 이들의 혼합물로부터 선택된 적어도 어느 하나의 추출용매를 가해 추출한 여주 추출물 70 내지 90중량%, 산수유 추출물 5 내지 15중량%, 오미자 추출물 4 내지 10중량%, 대추 추출물 1 내지 5중량%로 혼합하여 총콜레스테롤과 중성지방은 낮추고 HDL-콜레스테롤은 증가시켜 고지혈증을 예방하고 개선시킬 수 있는 약학 및 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다.
