The invention relates to a composition consisting of a mixture of aqueous extract of six plants, Cuminum cyminum, Lanandula vera augustifolia, Rosmarinus officinalis, Litsea citrata or cubeba, Pimpinella anisum and Foeniculum vulgare, for the use thereof as sedative and against all forms of psychotic states and affections associated therewith. According to the invention, the composition has sedative activity with a symptomatic anti-psychotic effect, causing the central nervous system to be placed in a state of repose. The mixture increases the effectiveness of GABA (receptors coupled to a chloric ionophore) acting on this neurotransmitter owing to certain allosteric interactions. The principal feature of GABA is that it inhibits the other monoaminergic (non-adrenergic, dopaminergic, serotonergic) systems, which would at least partially explain the somewhat sedative activity of this agonist.Notre invention est une composition dun extrait aqueux à base dun mélange de six plantes, Cuminum cyminum, Lanandula vera augustifolia, Rosmarinus officinalis, Litsea citrata ou cubeba, Pimpimella Anisum et Foeniculum vulgare pour son application en tant que médicament sédatif et contre toutes les formes des états psychotiques et les affections qui y sont liées. Selon linvention, cette composition présente une activité sédative à action antipsychotique symptomatique et en provoquant la mise au repos du SNC, ce mélange augmente lefficacité du GABA (récepteurs couplés à un ionophore chlorique) intervenant sur ce neurotransmetteur grâce à certaines interactions allostériques. Le GABA a pour propriété principale dinhiber les autres systèmes monoaminergiques (non adrénergiques, dopaminergique, serotoninergique) ce qui permettrait dexpliquer, au moins partiellement, laction plutôt sédative, de cet agoniste.
