The present invention relates to a method and device for transporting and cleaning products, in particular agricultural products such as onions, potatoes and carrots. The method according to the invention comprises the steps of: - forming in a part of a conveyor belt a pattern of successive waves extending at least in a direction transversely of the transport path； - displacing the waves formed in the conveyor belt in the direction of transport； - placing the products for transporting and cleaning onto the conveyor belt in order to carry the products into a wave valley of the pattern of waves and transporting along the transport path the products carried into the wave valley by means of displacing the waves formed in the conveyor belt in the direction of transport； and - displacing the conveyor belt relative to the waves in the direction in which the transport path extends.
