PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide protective equipment that is installed to cover a benthic organism being grown in a tidal land in order to protect the benthic organism from a foreign enemy.SOLUTION: The protective equipment is provided that comprises a protective equipment body 110 and a cleaning member 130. The protective equipment body 110 is constituted of: an opened lower surface an upper surface which is tilted in such a manner that a first edge side 111E emerges from the surface of water in a first water level and a second edge side 111E opposite to the first edge side 111E appears from the water surface in a second water level being lower than the first water level, the protective equipment body 110 being provided with a fence or a net in the upper surface.
