A device for handling of a ring seine aboard a fishing vessel (200). The device comprises a seine bin (117), a fish pump (118), a crane (109) for handling of the seine, a positioning means (104, 105, 106, 107), a power block (101, 102, 103) mounted movable in the horizontal plane of the positioning means, and drive means for hauling the seine. A ring needle is arranged at the seine bin (117) for accommodating seine rings (302). The seine bin (117) is arranged at the stern (201) of the fishing vessel (200). Seine guiding means (113) is arranged at the stern (201) of the fishing vessel (200), astern of the seine bin (117), and movable between starboard and aport side of the vessel. A seine ring holder (115) is arranged at the stern (201) for temporarily receiving and holding the seine rings (302) during hauling, while disconnecting the purse seine wire (301) from the seine rings (302).
