This invention relates to a device for dosing liquid. The device comprises a closed container (1) which contains liquid (2) and in which a feed pipe (3) extends from the bottom of the container into an open vessel (4) situated below the container. When the liquid surface (6) in the vessel falls below the lower end of the feed pipe (3), new liquid can flow from the container (1) into the vessel. Such known devices cause disturbing noise if air is sucked into the container (1) between the lower edge of the feed pipe (3) and the liquid surface (6). Disturbing noises can be avoided by the feed pipe (3) being surrounded by an outer pipe (7), the lower end of which is at a lower level than the lower end of the feed pipe (3) and by the air space (8) between the pipes being separated from the environment by means of a piece (9) made of porous material which has a great air-flow resistance. <IMAGE>
