PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear actuator capable of being suitably used for a lid opening/closing mechanism of a container, and an opening/closing mechanism with a simple structure using the linear actuator.SOLUTION: A linear actuator 10 includes an outer cylinder 22, and a rod 32 provided inside the outer cylinder 22. At a tip of the rod 32, a first coupling part 34 is provided, and at a tip of the outer cylinder 22, a second coupling part 24 is provided. The first coupling part 34 and the second coupling part 24 are each coupled to a container 42 and a lid 44 or a hinge 46, to form a lid opening/closing mechanism 100. Since dispensing with a large-sized member for coupling the tip of the rod and the hinge like conventional ones, this invention can form the lid opening/closing mechanism 100 that has a simple structure, is easily attached and also easily post-attached.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】容器の蓋の開閉機構に好適に使用できる直線作動機及びこれを用いた簡潔な構造の開閉機構を提供すること。【解決手段】直線作動機１０は、外筒２２と外筒２２の内側に設けられているロッド３２を具えている。ロッド３２の先端には第一連結部３４が設けられ、外筒２２の先端に第二連結部２４が設けられている。第一連結部３４と第二連結部２４をそれぞれ容器４２と蓋４４又はヒンジ４６に連結することにより蓋開閉機構１００とすることができる。従来のようなロッドの先端とヒンジを連結するための大型の部材は不要であるから、簡潔な構造で取付けし易く、後付けもし易い蓋開閉機構１００とすることができる。【選択図】図１
