PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking assistance device that can prevent an unauthorized use of the walking assistance device, in particular that secures authorized usage for effective walking rehabilitation, and that prevents unauthorized usage by improper walking assistance control.SOLUTION: The walking assistance device includes a power switch 118 to turn on/off power supply to a control unit 135 to control electric motor 104 and 106 operation to assist walking, and an operation switch (hand switches 120, 122) to output a command to the control unit to make the electric motors 104 and 106 operable.
