PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact-type electrocardiogram measuring apparatus giving little restriction and inconvenience that a subject may feel by eliminating contact of electrodes with a human body surface and further reliably measuring an electrocardiographic signal without the risk of skin irritation and so on.SOLUTION: First and second noncontact electrodes 3a and 3b are disposed so as to form electrostatic capacities C3a and C3b towards a human body 2, and the first noncontact electrode 3a is connected with a charge power supply 7 switchable at a high speed, via a changeover switch 6. The second noncontact electrode 3b is grounded. The first noncontact electrode 3a is charged when it is connected to the charge power supply 7 and discharged when it is unconnected.
