PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel fermented milk that combines a dense and smooth viscosity with a rich texture without the use of stabilizers and thickeners, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The fermented milk according to the present invention contains a milk protein by 5.0% or more and a whey protein by 25% or more in the milk protein, and in which the average particle size of the fermented milk is 3 μm or more and 30 μm or less, and the viscosity is 1000 mPa-s or more.
