The present invention relates to intervertebral cages. The cage according to the invention comprises a body 10 delimited by two opposite faces 11, 12 and consisting of two parts 10-1, 10-2 separated by a space 13 consisting of a hole along a through hole axis 14 perpendicular to the planes two faces 11, 12 and means for securing these two parts together； a slot 20 made in one 10-2 of the two parts in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of the breakthrough 14, the slot cutting the part in which it is made in two blocks 20-1, 20-2 integral with the 'other part 10-1； a pad 30 positioned in the slot 20 in contact with the two blocks 20-1, 20-2 and shaped to produce a wedge effect when it is moved in contact with the two blocks in at least a portion of the slot； and means 40 for controlling the movement of the pad 30 so that it is able to travel the slot portion to obtain an angular displacement of the two blocks 20-1, 20-2 with respect to each other.
