The present invention relates to an inhibitor and a decomposer pharmaceutical composition which comprises chebulic acid as an active ingredient, suppresses formation of cross-linkage between a glycation end-product and a protein, and disassembles a cross-linkage formed. According to the present invention, the chebulic acid not only suppresses the formation of cross-linkage between the glycation end-product and the protein, but also has an effect of disassembling the cross-linkage already formed. Thus, the chebulic acid can suppress and mitigate a structural change of the proteins in a tissue such as collagen and elastin, and can reduce or treat diseases occurred due to the structural change of the proteins.본 발명은 체불릭산을 유효성분으로 함유하며, 최종당화산물과 단백질 사이에 교차결합이 형성되는 것을 억제하고 형성된 교차결합을 분해하는 교차결합 억제제 및 분해제 약학적 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의하면, 체불릭산이 이미 형성된 최종당화산물과 단백질 사이의 교차결합 형성을 억제할 뿐만 아니라 분해하는 효능을 지니고 있기 때문에 조직 내 단백질, 예를 들어 콜라겐, 엘라스틴과 같은 단백질의 구조 변화를 억제하고 개선하여 이로 인한 질병의 발병을 감소시키거나 치료할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
