The pneumatic sowing machine (10) is designed to be towed behind a tractor. It has a hopper (17) from which seeds are fed by an air blast through a set of tubes to several shares which make grooves in the ground. The depth of the grooves may be set to plant the seeds in the ground at the desired depth. There is a hydraulic pump (22) driven by a shaft (7) engaging the tractor PTO and supplying hydraulic fluid under pressure to drive a hydraulic motor (23) driving a fan to provide the air blast to move the seeds.
