PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of making an absorbent article having a wicking layer which is excellent in rewet capability to effectively transfer the vertically guided fluid to the adjacent fluid storage layer.SOLUTION: An absorbent core 15 which is made on a continuous air laid machine and comprises: an acquisition layer 11 in effective fluid communication with the topsheet 10 and disposed beneath the topsheet； a storage layer 12 having absorbent capacity for contacting the acquisition layer and disposed beneath the acquisition layer； and a wicking layer 13 having a density of 0.1-0.3 g/cc for contacting the storage layer and disposed beneath the storage layer. The wicking layer is made of compressible wood fibers, wherein the ratio of the vertical wicking height of the wicking layer to the vertical wicking height of the storage layer is >；1.25, but is preferably about 3.0.【課題】垂直に導かれた液体を隣接する液体貯蔵層に有効に移動し、ウィッキング層を有するリウエット能力に優れた吸収性製品及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】吸収体コア１５は、連続的なエアレイド機械で作製され、トップシート１０と連続し、トップシートの下部に配置された有効な液体授受可能である獲得層１１；獲得層に接触し、獲得層の下部に配置された、吸収能力を有する貯蔵層１２；並びに貯蔵層と接触し、貯蔵層の下部に配置された、０．１ｇ／ｃｃから０．３ｇ／ｃｃの間の密度を有するウィッキング層１３を含み、前記ウィッキング層は圧縮可能な木材繊維から形成され、ウィッキング層の垂直ウィッキング高さと貯蔵層の垂直ウィッキング高さの比は、１．２５より大きいが、好ましくは約３．０である。【選択図】図１
