PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of detecting drowsiness by reducing false detection of reduction in arousal (drowsiness) when a driver looks downward.
SOLUTION: The drowsiness detection device 10 is provided with: a first determination part 12 for determining whether or not the eyes of a target person are sleepy eyes a second determination part 13 for determining whether the angle of face direction has been changed or not immediately after the eyelids of the person move and a drowsiness detection part 14 for detecting drowsiness of the person based on the determination result of the first determination part 12 and the second determination part 13. The drowsiness detection device is configured to issue a warning when drowsiness of the person is detected.
