The present invention relates to parenteral formulations for certain long chain saturated and monounsaturated fatty acid derivatives of 1-&bgr；-D-arabinofuranosylcytosine (cytarabine). In particular, the present invention relates to a parenteral pharmaceutical composition and a method of the preparation thereof, in order to accommodate therapeutically effective doses of the said derivatives ameliorating compliance in treatment of cancer.本発明は、1-β-D-アラビノフラノシルシトシン(シタラビン)のある特定の長鎖飽和および一不飽和脂肪酸誘導体のための非経口製剤に関する。特に、本発明は、癌の処置におけるコンプライアンスを改善する上記誘導体の治療上有効な用量を収容するための非経口薬学的組成物およびそれらの調製方法に関する。
