PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary napkin having flexible followability which does not damage feeling of wearing by a thin absorber by fixing an easy-to-break elastic member disposed at side sheets on the lateral sides in the width direction in a front area and a rear area of the sanitary napkin.
SOLUTION: The absorptive article 1 comprises: an absorptive body 10 provided with a front surface sheet 2, a rear surface sheet 3, and an absorber 4 and a right and left pair of side sheets 5, 5 provided on skin abutting surface sides on both side portions in the length direction of the absorptive body 10 and extends to nearly the whole length of the absorptive body. There are formed at each side sheet 5 a standing part 5A where an elastic member 6 is disposed in an extended state and which stands by the contraction of the elastic member and non-standing parts 5B, 5C which are positioned in front and rear of the standing part 5A in the absorptive body. At each of the non-standing parts 5B, 5C, the elastic member 6 is fixed to the side sheet 5 and the front surface sheet 2 by a plurality of linear fixing parts 7, which cross the elastic member 6 obliquely.
