A post-application expanding composition for application to hair fibers of the scalp, eyebrows or eyelashes is provided. The composition comprises at least one surfactant, a solvent for the surfactant, and a volatile agent in an amount that will cause the surfactant and solvent to interact and foam on the hair fibers thereby producing an expanded composition. The composition further contains a film-forming agent in an amount effective to form a film which when set fixes at least a portion of the expanded composition in its expanded state. The volatile agent is solubilized in the composition, and is further dispersed throughout the composition in nanometer size droplets or generated in situ on the hair fibers or immediately prior to application thereto so that the composition is storable in a non-pressurized container.La présente invention concerne une composition gonflant après application destinée à être appliquée dans les fibres capillaires du cuir chevelu, dans les sourcils ou sur les cils. Cette composition comprend au moins un tensioactif, un solvant de tensioactif et, un agent volatil dans une quantité qui entraîne une interaction du tensioactif et du solvant et ces composants moussent sur les fibres capillaires, produisant ainsi une composition expansée. Cette composition contient aussi un agent de formation de film dans une quantité efficace pour former un film qui, lorsquil a pris, fixe au moins une partie de cette composition expansée dans son état expansé. Lagent volatile est solubilisé dans la composition et, il est ensuite dispersé dans la composition en gouttelettes de taille nanométrique ou généré sur site sur les fibres capillaires ou immédiatement avant lapplication de sorte que cette composition est stockable dans un récipient non pressurisé.
