The disclosure relates to a preserved ophthalmic preparation comprising: (a) povidone-iodine (PVP-I) at a concentration sufficient to preserve said preparation, and (b) at least one non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compound selected from the group consisting of nepafenac and bromfenac； wherein said preparation may further comprises an antimicrobial preservative selected from the group consisting of benzalkonium chloride, thimerosal, chlorobutanol, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, phenylethyl alcohol, EDTA, sorbic acid, Onamer M and any combination thereof, and wherein said preparation may further comprise a viscosity increasing agent is selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, methyl cellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, and any combination thereof.
