The present invention relates to a device and a method for the functional capacity evaluation of subjects, applicable in different environments of the biomedical, biosanitary or labour type. More specifically, the invention proposed by the applicant relates to a device and to a method based on objective techniques for measuring the movements and efforts made by the subjects under evaluation, such that it is possible to achieve an accurately and reproducibly analysis of the physical ability of the subjects to perform certain activities of daily living or in the course of their work activity. Preferably, the invention relates to the functional evaluation of the upper limbs of the human body, as well as the spine.
