An embodiment is to provide a vehicle for determining a current emotional state of a driver and providing appropriate feedback to the driver based on the same and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment, an emotion map making device may include: a detection unit which detects a user′s state by using at least one sensor； a storage unit in which information about a relationship between the sensor and an emotion factor is stored； and a control unit which obtains information about the user′s emotional state based on an emotion factor, wherein the correlation to the emotion factor exceeds a predetermined criterion among the values measured by the sensor, and creates an emotion map which classifies the obtained information about the user′s emotional state according to a predetermined criterion.일 실시예에 따른 감정 지도 작성 장치는 적어도 하나의 센서를 이용하여 사용자의 상태를 감지하는 감지부, 상기 센서와 감정 인자와의 관계에 대한 정보가 저장되어 있는 저장부 및 상기 센서에 의해 측정된 값들 중에서 상기 감정 인자와의 관련성이 미리 설정된 기준을 초과하는 감정 인자를 기초로 상기 사용자의 감정 상태에 대한 정보를 취득하고, 취득한 상기 사용자의 감정 상태에 대한 정보를 미리 설정된 기준에 따라 분류한 감정 지도를 생성하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
