PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-held engine-powered working machine where a handle is switched to a turning mode or a turn-locking mode with a simple operation.SOLUTION: The engine-powered working machine 1 is provided with a lock-releasing button 60 and a lock button 62 on the upper surface of a rear handle 30. The lock-releasing button 60 is provided with a catching projection 608, and a handle body 32 is provided with a catching projection 328 to which the catching projection 608 is caught. An engagement projection 606 engaged with an engagement recessed part formed at a handle connection part 220 is formed to be integral with the lock-releasing button 60. Depression of the lock-releasing button 60 results in releasing the engagement of the engagement recessed part with the engagement projection 606 so as to make the rear handle 30 turnable.
