A nut roasting apparatus according to the present invention includes a housing, a hopper, a rotary drum, a heater, a chimney, a rotation driving mechanism, a control panel, and a controller. The hopper is mounted on the housing. The rotary drum has an inner space for nut storage, has the shape of a cylinder where through-holes are formed at its circumferential part, is rotatably supported in the housing with its tip part exposed through the front of the housing, has a nut outlet at its tip part, is provided with an outlet door opening and closing the outlet, has a supply port at its circumferential part for nuts put in through the hopper, is provided with a supply port door opening and closing the supply port, and has a screw blade on its inner peripheral surface. The heater is incorporated in the housing for heat to be applied to the rotary drum. The chimney is mounted on the housing such that smoke is discharged that is generated during roasting of the nuts stored in the rotary drum. The rotation driving mechanism is incorporated in the housing for the rotary drum to rotate. The control panel is configured for a worker to perform forward and reverse rotary drum rotation setting, rotary drum rotation halt setting, heater on/off setting, rotary drum temperature setting, and roasting timer setting.
