To provide a shock absorber of scissors for gardening or the like and which make little shock even when they are closed strongly and are gentle to the hands.
SOLUTION: A buffer member 6 is projected towards a holding handle of the other side in the inner surface of a holding handle 4. When blades are closed and the buffer member 6 contacts the other holding handle and demonstrates buffer effect. The buffer member 6 is made of flexible materials such as polyurethane resin and synthetic rubber which can make elastic deformation and is shape of a cap which fits the projection 7 projected in the inner side surface of the holding handle 4 and a fitting hole 8 of the buffer member extends axially to be longer than the length of the projection 7 and forms an air pool 9 ahead of the projection. The buffer member 6 is pressed axially when blade bodies are closed strongly and the buffer member 6 touches a part of the other holding handle and shock is absorbed by deformation of the buffer member itself and compressive deformation of the air pool 9.
