PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove dust from a dustproof cover by automatically generating a blowing air at proper timing in a dust removing device of the dustproof cover of an engine designed to reversely rotate a suction fan for sucking a cooling air through the dustproof cover to the side of the engine, feed the blowing air to the dustproof cover, and remove the dust.
SOLUTION: Load reduction detecting means (A) for detecting the reduction of a load on the engine (1) or engine overload detecting means (B) for detecting an overload on the engine (1) is provided. A suction fan reversing mechanism (C) is provided for rotating and driving a reversing fan body (5) so that blasting is carried out from the inside of the dustproof cover (3) of the engine (1) to the outside thereof when the load reduction detecting means (A) detects a light load or the engine overload detecting means (B) detects the overload.
