PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article improving fittability and leakage prevention performance of a crotch part by constituting a side-part absorber to easily rise, and preventing a user from having discomfort from the rising side-part absorber.SOLUTION: An absorber 23 of an absorbent article 1 according to the present invention, includes a plurality of absorbent units 4 each including a long base part 2 and absorbent polymer 3, and an absorbent core 24 that is formed of a sheet-like object 1 formed by aligning the respective absorbent units 4 so as to face one direction. In side areas ST of the absorbent core 24, the respective absorbent units 4 face an article lateral direction X. A surface sheet 21 includes an extension part 21E that covers a skin-facing surface of the absorber 23, and extends outward the article lateral direction X. The extension part 21E is folded back to cover a surface not facing the skin of the absorber 23 located at the side areas ST. A tip end of the extension part 21E of the surface sheet 21 is located at the surface not facing the skin with respect to the extension part 21E and fixed to a component adjacent thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
