PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent engine stall occurring during a bush cutting work by a partial operation using an engine drive-type bush cutter.SOLUTION: An engine drive-type bush cutter 100 has an engine rotational frequency sensor 52, and an ignition circuit 50 related to an ignition plug 48, and an ignition timing is controlled by a control unit 42. In the ignition timing control, first and second two threshold values are applied (S2, S3). The first threshold value is determined typically on the basis of "work start rotational frequency". The second threshold value is determined typically on the basis of "limit rotational frequency". A control for advancing the ignition timing is executed (S4), when the engine rotational frequency is lowered and becomes lower than the second threshold value.
