The present invention relates to dipropylene glycol esters of dicaffeoylquinic acids (DPG esters of DCQ) of the general formula (I): wherein R 1 is a dipropylene glycol radical of the formula (II) to (V), and any two of radicals R2, R3, R4 and R5 represent a caffeine group, the other two representing a hydrogen atom. The present invention also relates to a plant extract comprising at least one compound according to the invention, a process for preparing said plant extract, as well as the extract obtainable by said process according to the invention. The invention furthermore relates to a cosmetic composition comprising the compounds or extracts according to the invention intended to prevent or delay the appearance of the effects of aging of the skin. La présente invention concerne des esters de dipropylène glycol d'acides dicaféoylquiniques (esters de DPG de DCQ) de formule générale (I) : dans laquelle R1 est un radical de dipropylène glycol de formule (II) à (V), et deux quelconques des radicaux R2, R3, R4 et R5 représentent un groupement caféyl, les deux autres représentant un atome d'hydrogène. La présente invention concerne également un extrait végétal comprenant au moins un composé selon l'invention, un procédé de préparation dudit extrait végétal, ainsi que l'extrait susceptible d'être obtenu par ledit procédé selon l'invention. L'invention concerne en outre une composition cosmétique comprenant les composés ou extraits selon l'invention, destinée à prévenir ou retarder l'apparition des effets du vieillissement de la peau.
