PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed apparatus and a medical image diagnostic apparatus which can be prevented from upsizing.SOLUTION: The bed apparatus includes: a top plate 31 for mounting a subject P a vertical drive part 50 provided with a motor 51 for moving the top plate 31 on which the subject P is mounted in the vertical direction and a vertical drive control part 37 for detecting the current consumption of the motor 51 in the vertical drive part 50 which moves the top plate 31 and controlling the vertical drive part 50.
