Surgical assembly (1) comprising a disc prosthesis (2) and a prosthesis holder (3) characterized in that: - the disc prosthesis (2) comprises two openings formed side by side on a front face of the prosthesis, each of the openings comprising an outer lateral recess； the prosthesis holder (3) comprises two coupling elastic branches (8) arranged side by side and connected to one another by a hinge zone (9), said branches (8) comprising: • first ends (8a) each comprising a lug (10) projecting laterally and outwards, said lugs (10) being adapted to snap, by the elasticity of the branches (8), into the lateral recesses of the prosthesis ( 2) to lock the coupling of the prosthesis (2) to the prosthesis holder (3)； Second ends (8b) adapted to cooperate with a disengagement member intended to be inserted between said second ends (8b) to cause their spacing from one another and cause concomitantly the approximation of the lugs (10) of the first ends (8a) to unlock the coupling of the prosthesis (2).
