The invention relates to a dosing device (1) which can be activated by thevacuum airstream of the user, for the inhalation of a powder substance (2), particularlymedicine, which isarranged in a supply chamber (15) and which can be brought out of the sameinto an openemptying-ready position (B) by means of a dosing chamber (4) of a dosing rod(33) when themouthpiece-closure cap(7) is removed. In particular, the invention suggests,in order to improvedispensing, the provision of two air paths, of which one serves to open andempty the dosingchamber, and/or the second air path (a) penetrates directly into a ringchamber (63) in order tomix with the air flow containing the substance.
