The invention provides an active pharmaceutical ingredient comprising a compound of Formula II: where R 9 , R 10 and R 11 are independently selected from hydrogen and C 1 to C 4 alkyl； and R 12 is selected from hydrogen and -C(O)R 13 , where R 13 is a C 1 to C 6 alkyl or an aryl group； or an ester or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of such compound, in admixture with pharmaceutical diluent or carrier, for use in the treatment of an inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract in a subject in need of such treatment. The invention also provides for the use of the said active pharmaceutical ingredient in the manufacture of a medicament for use in the treatment of an inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract in a subject in need of such treatment.
