PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress consumption of a battery.SOLUTION: A pedometer for detecting body motion of a subject on the basis of an output value from a sensor, stores a time zone in which body motion is not consecutively detected for a prescribed time or more for a prescribed number of days on the basis of time counted by a clock part, and when the recording number of a time zone (a common walking stop time zone) common in stored time zones reaches a prescribed number, by stopping electrification to parts other than electrification to the clock part, suppresses electrification to a sensor in the common walking stop time zone.
