PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work machine and an application program that can record work information even if communication with a server is disrupted by monitoring a communication state between the work machine and the server.SOLUTION: A work machine (combine harvester X) comprises: a work unit for carrying out ground work; a communication unit 68 capable of communicating with an external server Z; and a monitoring unit 69 for monitoring a communication state between the communication unit 68 and the external server Z. Work information on the work carried out by the work unit is transmitted to the external server Z via the communication unit 68 and a smart phone Y and stored at a server side. If the monitoring unit 69 detects unavailability of communication with the external server Z, the work machine stores the work information in a storage unit 70 of the work machine or a terminal storage unit 42 of the smart phone Y.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
