PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air valve apparatus capable of efficiently discharging air in a water-supply pipe in a siphon type water-intake apparatus, and surely preventing air inflow from a water-supply pipe into a siphon pipe.SOLUTION: This air valve apparatus is set with an upstream rising pipe 16a which rises from an upstream water-supply pipe 2a and a downstream rising pipe 16b which rises from a downstream water-supply pipe 2b.
