The invention relates to an apparatus for singling out and delivering granular material, in particular for sowing individual grains with a rotating narrow hollow cylinder which has, at the open end, recesses which form cells and the length of which is several times the length of the largest element of the material to be singled out. Near to the rear boundary surface of every recess, there is arranged a suction opening by means of which only one grain is held in each recess while the surplus grains, after leaving the filling zone, are led back into the store tank by centrifugal force. <IMAGE>
