PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved articulation movement mechanism.SOLUTION: The mechanism, a member or a segment includes the link connected by a flexible hinge. The proximal end and distal end of the mechanism are connected by at least one set of cables in such a fashion that one pair comprises a proximal-side active flexible segment and a distal-side active flexible segment.
