PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling planter which can plant seedlings, in a state where the amount of the seedlings is as uniform as possible, even if slippage of the seedlings is caused on the longitudinal conveyance of the mat-like seedlings, and which can avoid minimization of the planted seedlings, even if the slippage of the seedlings is abnormal.SOLUTION: This seedling planter includes driving-changing mechanisms 80 for changing the driving quantities of longitudinally conveying conveyers for longitudinally conveying mat-like seedlings on a seedling tray, seedling slippage detection means 101 for detecting the longitudinal slippage quantities of the mat-like seedlings in a state that the longitudinally conveying conveyers are stopped, and further a control means 95 for controlling and operating the driving-changing mechanisms 80.
