PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling planter which can plant seedlings, in a state where the amount of the seedlings is as uniform as possible, even if the slippage of the seedlings is caused on the longitudinal conveyance of the mat-like seedlings and can plant the seedlings in the small number of rows in a simple structure.SOLUTION: This seedling planter includes driving-changing mechanisms 80 for changing the driving quantities of longitudinally conveying conveyers for longitudinally conveying mat-like seedlings on a seedling tray, and seedling slippage detection means 101 for detecting the longitudinal slippage quantities of the mat-like seedlings, in a state where the longitudinally conveying conveyers are stopped for a plurality of seedling planting unit rows, respectively, and further includes a control means 95 linked to the driving-changing mechanisms 80. The control means 95 sets corrected control target longitudinal conveying quantities, obtained by correcting set control target conveying quantities by a longitudinal conveying quantity-setting means 96, on the basis of detected slippage quantities by the seedling slippage detection means 101, for the seedling-planting unit rows, respectively, and controls and operates the driving-changing mechanisms 80 so that the mat-like seedlings are longitudinally conveyed in the set corrected control target longitudinal conveying quantities.
